Colwyn Bay Heritage Group has been honoured to participate in local events to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day).
The first event was the ‘Make Do & Mend’ Anniversary Fair at St. Paul’s Church. Hosted by the monthly ‘Repair Cafe Colwyn’ group, the event was an opportunity for various local groups to get together and share their activities and find out more about other local groups.

Members of the Colwyn Bay Heritage Group committee spent an enjoyable day meeting visitors to the event, sharing information about the group’s work and introducing the latest publication, very kindly funded by the Bay of Colwyn Town Council, the Colwyn Bay Ministry of Food Heritage Booklet.

The booklet is available to download here on the Heritage Group website. Printed copies will be available at Prom Xtra on May 10th.

St. Paul’s Church was an excellent venue, particularly for the musical entertainment provided by Beulah Brass Band and Ghostbuskers.
