Anne Windebank’s family moved to Colwyn Bay when she was 6 years old, following her grandparents who had moved to the town previously.
Her earliest memory is of walking to school at St. Joseph’s from their home in Begrave Road.
Anne’s Father had a silver plating works behind the Woolworths building before he went to work at the telephone exchange. Anne’s Mother ran a guest house during the summer season. New guests would arrive on the train on a Saturday and the guests who’d just enjoyed a week’s holiday would return home by train.
Anne was interviewed by Arthur.
