The Royal Bank of Scotland, was built in 1931 and also designed by Sidney Colwyn Foulkes, originally for William Deacon’s Bank, later becoming Williams and Glyn’s Bank, and then the Royal Bank of Scotland. Its Neo-Classical style was popular for bank buildings in the early 20th century.
In August 2018 the Royal Bank of Scotland closed its Colwyn Bay branch which was located in this building. When the Royal Bank of Scotland signage was removed the remains of the Deacon’s signage could be seen underneath.
